Chelsea market is an epicurean delight.
Chelsea Market is basically perverted. It’s food porn at its absolute best. Two very good friends of ours that live in L.A. – who lived in NYC for a while – got us onto the place. I can’t believe I had never heard of it, let alone sampled the many foodie delights it has to offer. To wit; there is the incredible Lobster Place. This is basically tricked out seafood porn. Then, there is the bread porn. To start, you can get off on the French Toast Almond Croissant like bread-thingy at Amy’s Bread. Then move onto the the jam and the rugelach porn at the famous Sara Beth’s bakery. For a little somethin’ extra, check out the cookies and cupcakes at the delightful Eleni’s. Honestly, their chocolate chip ‘crisp’ cookies are – you guessed it – cookie monster porn. But for me, one of the best treats to savour is the grilled cheese sandwich they serve at The Green Table Co. Bring an appetite because it is huge grilled cheese porn. And honestly, I’m not using the word porn to get more hits to my site. Although this week’s New York magazine might argue otherwise.
