Fishing in Central Park

To my delight, I was walking through Central Park when I saw this:

There was something so serene about this couple fishing. It caught me by surprise since I had never seen anyone going fishing in the park before. The policy at Central Park is ‘catch and release’ and there is a place where they’ll lend you poles to test your skills.  All of a sudden, New York took on a more leisurely pace.  So it goes with this city, if you pause long enough, you’ll always end up seeing something amazing. Maybe not as serene…but there will always be something to write about! (see previous posts such as Chiquata Banana Lady for the other side of New York…)
